Cute Candids Without Clever Captions

Pop Quiz

Q: What is going on in this picture?

1. As a lasting and memorable homage to the Wauneta-Palisade Broncos winning the state basketball championship on Saturday night, we put the thing Tori was supposed to shake like a polaroid picture at the game--but forgot it on the guest bed here at the house--on Jack's head so he can demonstrate the frustration of not being able to get the red and blue out of your grill. Much like the other teams experienced.
2. We are really patriotic and what's more American than red and blue stringy things on a very white little baby?
3. Our son's name is now Whoopsy Goldboogs.
4. It was kinda cute in a moms-and-dads-always-do-annoying-and-stupid-things-for-pictures-that-their-kids-will-look-back-on-with-contempt sort of way plus it was spontaneous, fun and really warrants no explanation.

Sunday Stop

Grandma and Aunt Nanny stopped by to get Tori on Sunday, so we snapped these photos when they were here:

Dax Came To My House!

Two little buddies, sittin' on a blankie, so happy to see each other.
Hey dude, check out my giraffe!
Um, I don't think that's your toy there, pardner. I believe it's mine.
We didn't share too well at first, but we got used to that concept.
Dax took the first bite.
Then it was my turn.
"Um, ladies, I think we have a soggy one over here!"
Dax and I even went to visit our buddy Camden later that day when he got home.

Dax came to town the other day and he and Jack had a blast. Amy drove him into Lincoln and followed his mommy because there was something wrong with the tires on her car. For safety's sake, we all thought that was the best idea.
Jack actually made two trips to Lincoln and a trip to Funk to pick up Tori. We all spent some time at the state basketball tournament watching daddy's hometown win the championship. It was a blast, but we don't have a single photo of the event!
(Daddy and Jack watched the championship game from the concession stand television because the noise inside the event center was too much for Jack's little ears.)

Funny Faces on a Little Boy

"I love you."
"I'm not sure about you."
"You crack me up."
"I love you AND you crack me up."
"You had me at hello."
"I want to make sure you see my tooth."
"I am simply adorable and you are going to want to pinch my wittle cheek'ums."
"I can't quite crawl, but I can emulate crawling on camera."
"I'm as wacky as my daddy."

"I'm studious."
"I'm a supermodel."
"I don't know what I'm thinking right now; I might be grumpy or just talking."
"I really wish I could reach my rubber ducky."
"I'm HAPPY!"

The Popsicle Stick Trick

When Daddy gets done with his WeightWatchers fudge bars, he hangs the stick on his greasy forehead.
And Jack manhandles him trying to get it. Ouch.

Aunts and Uncles Galore!

This is me with Uncle Dan's girlfriend, Aunt Amber. I was getting tired by this point; hence the pulling on my ear.
Auntie Em and me had fun reading.
I liked playing with her long hair.
Just the two of us.
Here's me with Uncle Dan (he makes goofy faces) and Aunt Amber (she's normal).

Just Uncle Dan and me. We're such good buddies, but we don't see each other often enough. Hint, hint!

Mr. Mess Maker

Gerber spaghetti makes me messy.
But I had fun, so that's a good thing.
"Good Lawd, look what that child is getting away with. Woof."
Mommy took these pictures so I think she tried to get her new fridge in the picture as much as possible.
CamMo's and ODawg's moms said avocadoes are good for brain development. My brain is still trying to develop how to get them in my mouth.
That, and I don't particularly LOVE the taste.
Sometimes I stretch before eating a big meal.
I think I'm done, Daddy.
Okay, I take that back. I'll have 1 more.
